Our Hydrology PD takes teachers beyond understanding the basic water cycle to extend into how forests actively create and protect our freshwater systems. We explore how much of the world's water is available freshwater, and cover key processes with hands-on experiments that teachers can implement.

This professional development session introduces teachers to the power of soil literacy for enhancing ResourceSmart Schools (RSS) modules. We'll explore how soil connects to waste and biodiversity outcomes at school, and examine simple, everyday practices—composting, mulching, worm farming, and veggie gardening, that can become even richer and more curriculum-aligned with meaningful soil knowledge.
The session includes practical ideas, engaging resources, and a brief introduction to Life Rocks' Soil Education Kit. Teachers will gain plug-and-play tools and ideas to deepen soil literacy, support RSS goals, and spark student curiosity, all while saving planning time and boosting whole-school sustainability initiatives.
