Single Sessions (45-60 min):

  • One session: $420
  • Two sessions: $780 ($390 per session)
  • Three sessions: $1,080 ($360 per session)
  • Four sessions: $1,280 ($320 per session)

Double Sessions (90 min):

  • One session: $500
  • Two sessions: $940 ($470 per session)
  • Three sessions: $1,320 ($440 per session)
A travel fee of $0.75 per km may be applicable depending on your school's location.

Incursion Overview

Soil is composed of several different key materials that students can learn about and explore. This hands-on incursion offers students the opportunity to learn about soil composition and the qualities of the materials of which it is comprised, as well as the chance for a close up look through a digital microscope.

This incursion is particularly relevant for the following Australian Curriculum point for year 3: AC9S3U02: compare the observable properties of soils, rocks and minerals and investigate why they are important Earth resources
